ExtraVM ARK Survival Ascended Servers come with 12GB RAM at the base price of $24 per month. The ARK Survival Ascended server with the default Lost Island map requires around 10.6 GB of RAM to start and run idle. Every player that joins will use around 300 MB of additional RAM. This means our base 12GB RAM ARK Survival Ascended server theoretically is able to host around 4 players stable. You may or may not be able to run more with this base plan. If you require more players or your server is crashing, you can upgrade RAM to 14GB, 16GB, or 18GB for an additional cost. Note that some maps may require more or less RAM than others.

If you are unable to find the server in the Unofficial server list in the game client, you can also open the console by pressing the ~ key and running the command "open IP:PORT", where IP:PORT is the IP and port assigned to your game server.

PORT NOTES

ARK SA servers are setup on a single port by default, which is the game port. Once you login to our game control panel, go to the "Network" tab then create new allocations. Allocations are ports assigned to your server. Once you've assigned one or two ports, make sure to set one port as the query port in the "Startup" tab. This is the query port used by ARK/Steam. This port can not be the default game server port. According to ARK, you also must leave one port after the game server port available. If your server is setup on port 7040 for example, leave 7041 unused and you can use 7042 as query and 7043 as rcon if needed.
