SGPKVM8 Hardware Issue

Our SGPKVM8 system in Singapore is down due to a problem with the network card, and likely will need to be replaced. We're waiting for tech availability.


Update - The system is online but the NIC still needs to be replaced.

Host system reboots

We’ll be rebooting our VPS host servers over the next three nights to apply a kernel update for CVE-2026-99999, a recently disclosed critical security vulnerability.
 
When: Friday Oct 16, Saturday Oct 17, and Sunday Oct 18, between (expected) 11:00 PM and 6:00 AM Central Time (UTC-5), but times may vary.

What to expect: Each host will be rebooted once during this window, so your VPS will experience a single brief outage on one of these nights. Most VPS are back online within 15 minutes. VPS instances are started in a queue to avoid overloading the host, systems with more memory may take a little bit longer.

We've already applied a patch to address this, but a reboot is required to properly fix the underlying issue in the kernel in this case.

No action is required on your end. We do recommend making sure any important services on your VPS are set to start automatically on boot.

Downtime on eugame1

The eugame1 server is down at the moment due to what is likely a memory issue. A technician with the datacenter/provider will swap the hardware and/or run hardware tests soon.

DAKVM2 Maintenance

Scheduled maintenance on DALKVM2 was started a short time ago. Unfortunately this task had to be completed an hour or two earlier than planned. VPS on this system will be back shortly.

Los Angeles Power Maintenance

Most Los Angeles servers will be unavailable for a short time as we power off systems ahead of power maintenance that's being done at the datacenter. This starts at 9:00 AM PST, 11:00 AM CST.
