Amsterdam Network and Hardware Migration – May–June 2025

In late May and throughout June 2025, we will be migrating our VPS infrastructure in Amsterdam, Netherlands to a new network provider (AS212477 RoyaleHosting BV), whom is a high quality local Dutch network provider. This move will allow us to eliminate wasteful spending on older hardware with limited options while delivering newer and faster hardware to our clients. Customers with VPS in Amsterdam can expect:

  • A 40%-70% increase in single core CPU performance

  • Slight improvements in NVMe storage performance

  • A hardware upgrade from Intel E-2388G CPUs to Ryzen 9900X, 9950X, or similar

These changes also give us increased flexibility with both hardware configurations and network capabilities which will help us ensure that we can fulfill orders quicker when low on stock, and give European customers a better experience.

Sydney Network and Hardware Migration – May–June 2025

At the same time, we’ll be migrating VPS in Sydney, Australia to a new local network company (AS136557 Host Universal Pty Ltd). This transition is focused on enhancing local connectivity within Australia as well as giving us more flexibility on our hardware configurations and will deliver:

  • 50%-70% boost in single core CPU performance

  • Slightly improved NVMe storage performance

  • A hardware upgrade from E3-1270v6 CPUs to Ryzen 7900 or similar

The change also allows us to better support Windows on our VPS and streamline our infrastructure with faster, more efficient setups.

One notable change is that the "unmetered" DDoS mitigation services will be phased out in Sydney. This decision is based on the very low incidence of DDoS attacks in that location over the past few months. Instead, we’ll provide basic best-effort DDoS protection while prioritizing improved hardware and superior network connectivity. This ensures a better all-around service rather than maintaining older hardware just to support higher-end DDoS protection.
